The traditional classroom, where students sit quietly and attentively in their seats while the teacher pours vast amounts of knowledge into their sponge-like brains, is over. A student-centered classroom, or student-centered learning environment, is one where the focus of instruction shifts from the teacher to the student. The ultimate goal of this approach is to foster independent learners, and this goal is achieved by placing the responsibility for learning in the hands of the students. Many advocates of student-centered learning argue that it is one of the most effective ways to help students develop the skills they need to solve problems and learn for life. اکثر مربیان موافق هستند که ایجاد یک کلاس درس دانش‌آموز¬محور این روزها بیش از یک رویکرد جدید لوکس یا ابتکاری برای تدریس، به یک ضرورت و هنجار تبدیل شده است. کلاس درس سنتی که در آن دانش‌آموزان آرام و بادقت روی صندلی‌های خود می‌نشینند و معلم مقادیر زیادی دانش را در مغز اسفنج مانند آن‌ها می‌ریزد، به پایان رسیده است.¬کلاس درس دانش‌آموز محور یا محیط یادگیری دانش‌آموز محور، جایی است که تمرکز آموزش از معلم به دانش‌آموز منتقل می‌شود. هدف نهایی این روش، پرورش دانش‌آموزان مستقل است و این هدف با قرار دادن مسئولیت یادگیری در دست دانش‌آموزان حاصل می‌شود. بسیاری از طرفداران یادگیری دانش‌آموز محور استدلال می‌کنند که این یکی از موثرترین راه‌ها برای کمک به دانش‌آموزان برای توسعه‌ی مهارت‌های مورد نیاز خود برای حل مسئله و یادگیری مادام العمر است. /downloadfilepdf/665666
